No true Mu’min can remain indifferent in the face of such calamity. However, it is not enough to only issue a fatwa telling Muslims that it is haraam to send their girls to such schools. It has become incumbent/wajib a’lal kifaayah for the Muslim Ummah to establish its own secular schools where the spirit of Islam and the ethics of Taqwa pervade.
